Course Description

There are few aspects of the standard protocol that are as misunderstood and underutilized as the Future Template. EMDR clinicians are familiar with the Third Prong as dealing with the future, however many struggle with understanding the various components of the 3rd prong. This workshop will clarify its components and explore and differentiate the various ways we can help clients enhance and generalize their ability to use adaptive information for future situations, even when they aren’t fully ready for phase 4 reprocessing. There will be a review of RDI and the Future Template including how it fits with case conceptualization and the type of BLS to be used.

Intended Audience

Clinicians (psychologists, counselors, social workers, etc.). This course is designed for and accredited for mental health clinicians who have completed an EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training.

Meet the instructor

Tara May, Ph.D.

Tara May, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and HAP Facilitator, who holds certifications in trauma and in perinatal mental health. She is Clinical Director of Blue Leaf Mental Wellness Center; a trauma focused private group psychotherapy practice and provides consultation and workshops on EMDR related topics. Certificates are awarded online after completion of the workshop. To receive your EMDRIA credits complete the entire course and complete the post-test, then print your certificate. For CE credits, participants print their own certificate after registering at CE-Classes.com, entering a keycode, and completing an evaluation form. Click here to know more.
